Solved Awards/Achievements

Post by MrDudemanpeace August 3rd 2009, 7:17 am

I have been using both Forumotion and Vbulletin, and one of there
new features are the achievements.

I vote that these should try to be implemented during the next update.

ok, the awards system allows you to create an awards with little icons, and only certain people can give them out.

So, if you have a forum about music, some awards could be:

Beethoven-
Write your first piece of music and post it on xxx forum.

Here are some pictures i took from a forum i'm on.

Awards/Achievements Untitl10
Awards/Achievements 110

How they look on the user:

on VB, the user would request said achievement/award, and the Moderator or Admin will look it over and either give it to them, or reject it.

How would it be possible using profiles?

It's done more complex than how VB has

https://help.forumotion.com/frequently-asked-questions-f5/personalized-profile-fields-warning-system-t11187.htm#58391

that will help.

+> You would make a "image list"
=> add all the images that you would want
=> allow mods to change it,
=> Viola you got that exact system.

If a suggestion is already possible give the answer but thats it. There is no need to continue into giving support over this for a while now.
