Moderators sharing IP's between Forums.

Are Moderators from forumotion forums allowed to share IP info with Admin on other forums?

Cant see a problem unless the person wishes to remain anonymous due to trolling or other maliciousness. Ip addresses are not covered by the data protection act.
I expect it is a good way to 'weed out undesirables' Like the Pubwatch scheme!

One of the forums in question has anonymous guest posting enabled for the very reason to stay anonymous. I find your remark flippant in the extreme.

All an IP shows is the ISP and country.What is the problem here?

All posters are anonymous and are only usernames so I fail to see where a posters anonymity is breached. Please enlighten?

We don't share IP to other forums as we don't need to do that and Forumotion (Company) doesn't allow that in the company.

The issue is not about revealing real-life information about posters, it's about matching a poster on one forum to the same poster on another forum by sharing the IP information. If someone is a mod on two forums they have access to IPs, and they can pass IPs between those forums.

Remove the Mod on your forum and that will stop it.

It's not my forum. My IP was passed on. So how do I make a complaint about it? I have several screenshots.
