Solved Guests or Not ?????

No to sure if this is the correct place so sorry if it isn't ? I have noticed that I seem to get quite a few guests on my forum so I decided to check their Ip, and it seem that I am getting about 5 differant crawlers ? on my site, can anyone tell me what these are and what they are doing there.

They work in the background and they log information and index it on major search engines.
