how to add tv to my forum?

well i dont remember where but i have seen tv in a forum, i mean there was few channels you can watch there. i want to know how can i add tv to my forum?
i m using phpbb2 so coding is possible

Well i heard of live streaming and i have done that my self.
you can get a stickcam account. then there is this software called web cam max that will allow you to live stream video,music, etc..

You will have to read all of stickams TOS very carefully.i know i have done something similar to this and never had any problems.. but depending what you are streaming there can be some copyright issues. so be sure to understand all of stickams tos.

other then that i have seen live tv on some sites. i believe this is more in the order of flash videos.if they are live then it is live streaming.. you can google host that allow thins there are a few but i always went with stickam.

and here is the soft you can install to stream your own files.
this is only a 15 day trial period.. i do not know of any software that offers a free version?

man the tos was soooooooooo long, couldnt read it.
can you tell me how will it work? and if i put that on my forum then what? users will be able to only see videos? and how can i add live tv there? i mean live channels like bbc and sky etc?

if going to to live stream tv you will have to have the tv set up to your computer.
see i alwys had files i would play. the tos is realy not that bad. they are more concerned about people having inappropriate content. other then that you can go through the stickcam live streaming list and see people streaming all kinds of things.

all you do is create an account and then choose your player and you can embed it to your forum.. like i have over here.

but i am not live right now.. if you tune in Halloween night i will be live streaming alot of Halloween stuff.

so the best thing to do is to just create your stickam account first.
it takes a lil wile to get to know how to do everthing but is not realy that hard.
and like i said unless you where streaming something inappropriate. you will not have a problem. but also if you are on live chatting you have to moderate it.. you cant have people exposing themselves or inappropriate conversations then you could be in violations of forumotions tos.. but other then that it would be stickams responsibility to remove or warn you of anything you may be streaming.

anyway just set an account up. they have support over there too.
i have been using them for a few years and used to do my own shows too.
and it is great to have on forums. sometimes a stickakm account can do wonders for people forums.

I know that the basic but how do i add other video like RSGE? (Runescape God Expose) I don't want to download it.

i don't know what Runescap is.
but if you where to run your tv you would come out of the tv and in to your computer then web feed/program.. you may have to get additional software to set it up as well. i have not done it in a wile but i believe my cam software is already set up to enable running music from my stereo or tv,dvd player etc...

ok so you r saying that if i have live streaming on my forum, the users will be able to stream anything from there computer?
and also i have to stream everything i have to show to my users?
am i right?

All of that can be explained by stickam support or there faq.
i don't realy want to dwell on this anymore because this is realy not a forumotion problem.
i only was saying that you can incorporate stickam to your forum and it has always worked well for me.other then that any other tech stuff to do with stickam with have to be asked over there with there support.

so a couple more questions if you have them then i will lock this thread. i have to move on to forumotion support questions.

si kirk the last two questions,
am i have to stream all the videos there by myself to show at my forum?
and as you said users can also stream videos, can i delete them and set permissions who can and who can't?

no they will not be streaming from your account.
if they are your friends and have a stickam account then they can come on when your live.. so if there streaming something. you can just kick them or ask them not to. or just bump them from allowing them on cam in your room.. plus anyone thats on in your room or just lurking can control the volume of others if they wish to here it or not. including yours.

you should go to there home page and click on who's streaming. just skim around and you will see how it works.. also there are players to choose from that you do not have to allow anyone to come on with there cam.

you know i can better explain this but lets do this by pm and a place you can get me at. i don't want to keep this open.. it's turning into how to do stickam stuff/stickam support and where forumotion here.Like i said i was just suggesting and telling you stickam works well with forums.. but i cant continue to do stickam support here. for one I'm a forumotion mod. and two. sure you can use stickam on forumotion but where not going to do there support for them or endorse them... lol the same as you would not see them do that for forumotion either.. no bad blood just two different companies and businesses going on there. in a sense one hand washes the other.It helps sticakam for being on other host as well as it helps forumotion for members being able to incorporate stickam to our forums... anyway I'm rambling on here.. lol sorry
