meta tags from google

Well guys i know this has been asked a thousand times but where do i put the meta tag that i got from google to get my forum verified.
I went to display general but cant find nothing about meta tags. thanks in advance.

once you have your code from google analytics...

you have to go to admin panel-> general -> statistics -> google anaytics


add only the code there.

If you have other meta tags... you have to go to
admin panel-> general -> forum promotion -> search engines.

scroll down to the meta tag section and create a new meta tag.
Mind you many tags might not work on forumotion

no they did not work.

no one can find my site, even if i give them the actual site address it just comes up no matchs found.
please someone help......

Ohh- I know- I just had this problem and figured it out. Ok- so go to the admin panel-> general -> search engines.

Now under other tags- for the name- copy the part that says google_Site_verification... in the name part- without the ""- it will put that in there for you. Then copy just the code- that huge long number- again- without the "" and put that in the contnent line. So your not puting in there anything about meta.. just the name- and just the code itself. Now click save. If you go back in you will see that it added all the other stuff for you automatically... now go to Google and click verify- and it should work. Let me know if it did- - if it didn't - PM me- I will do a pic tutorial It took me forever to figure it out!

Edit- Make sure you click on new tag to add it all

This pic helped me form another post- just remember it's not under the display tab anymore- it's under general- search engines.
