Topic pages limit Empty Topic pages limit

I had some topic that contained around 68 pages, and then i merged it with topic that contains around 10 pages. Automatically has been created new topic that contains 10 pages, and it's named as the old one. The old topic is now locked and it contains 67 pages...
Is there some topic pages limit, or what? If it is, how can i remove or increase that limit?
