Portal width

well i know how to change the forum width, but i cant find where to change portal width??? How to change it???
my forum width is 900 pixels but i dont think that is so small cuz of that

From what I can recall you cannot change the portal overall width with the exception of possibly changing the CSS.

I took a look at your forum and portal and it is my suggestion that you keep your portal at the current width anyway, and bring your forum back to that same width that the portal is at or close to it.

My reason for suggesting his is that it allows for room to adjust to whatever your members have their Display Setting's screen resolution set at.

For example I have mine set for 1024x768 currently and when viewing your forum, it is cut off on the right side making it impossible to see the full forum screen without scrolling from side to side. And that becomes extremely annoying to people to scroll from side to side. It isn't the funnest thing to do and you will find yourself losing members just because they don't want the hassle of that side to side scrolling.

Having it set to be narrower allows the adjustment for all. That is what the background image is for, so that you have a pleasant looking view for that empty space for those who have the different resolution making the forum window narrower.

Maybe someone else has or knows of a different way to go about this but this is all that I am aware of at this time, as I have been away from here in awhile and lots have changed.

hmm that is odd you have a different size for the portal and the index.

thats a first.
Since you set your board width to 900px, then you should go to ap -> modules -> portal -> edit your portal


and make the column in pixels too

for example
column 1: 200px
column 2: 500px
column 3: 200px


if not we can try to change it via template editing.
but try that first

well i had 200,600,200 and edited to that what u wanted and still same :S

I'm having problem with my portal width too.All my widget areas are way too wide,can someone please tell me how to fix this,what size to put that at.Thanks!
