Advertisment Question

How are they chosen ?
The one showing is a competitor.... is there a way to change the advertisers ?

Hello,

The adds are just Google.com adds, and they are specific to your type of forum Wink

You can remove the adds via Adds removal in the Misc Tab, or adjust their settings via General ( Tab ) >> Forum/configuration

Allow image and video formats for ads : :
Yes No

Activate ads :
All Members and guests Guest

Text ads activation (underlined)

These are the only settings you can change Wink

I have changed the settings so that only guest can see them.

However my trouble is not that they can be seen but the content of the ads
themselves.

I am a scrapbook forum and the ads being advertised are direct competition to us.
If they are specific to my forum how can I change this ?

The content of the adds are decided by what type of forum you use, what sub-section of our directory it is located in, and what type of forum you use.
For example, if you run a forum about gaming, you put your forum in the gaming section of the directory.
Your settings say its about "Gaming" thus your site will be put into the "Gaming" meta tag, and search engines will put u in their directory as "gaming".
You will also receive adds specific to the category of gaming.

I'm sorry but we don't have any control of what type of adds are put onto your forum, you can remove the adds completely via the Misc tab, but that's all that can be done.

YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY TO REMOVE THE ADDS IF YOU DON'T WANT THEM THIS CAN BE DONE ON YOUR ADMIN PAGE.

Thank you very much guys , but it's very annoying once viewed by the user's eyes damn ...!!! Was there no other way to remove it without pay..?
