Is it possible for someone to hack and destroy a forum?

I just wanted to know if it is possible for someone to hack and destroy a forumotion forum The reason i am asking this is because we keep getting threats from other forums on a different forum server. And if it is hacked and deleted, Is it possible to restore it?

Yes, we are part of the same forum, they have tried to hack the forums using a proxy server. And yes, several threats from other forums have been pending, spamming can be a problem across the forum and websites worldwide.

Well i would not pay any attention to it.
Probably people just trying to scare you or upset you in some way.
Nothing is every 100% secure.. i mean if people can hack governments,Google etc.. then there is always a possibility.. however in the rare case that it would happen, then forumotion would be able to restore everything for you. You would just have to provide godfather/pro-admin some info to be verified then they would restore it.
