Problems with Forumotion in Izmit, Turkey

Good morning to everyone.

Seems that one of our potential recruit have a problem with visiting our forum.

He can't even open our page... This is the error that he gets: "Sayfa görüntülenemiyor".

I gave him 5 more sites hosted on Forumotion, and none of them worked.

Then I gave him another site, hosted on another company (can't give name), and worked.

So, it's clearly that the problem is from Forumotion, in his area; it looks strange... he is the only one who have this kind of problems.

He lives in Izmit, Turkey. Any idea if Forumotion is blocked on that area?

Also, he tried all those sites with IE, Mozzila and Opera, so it's not a Browser problem.

If not ask him/ her to reset there modem and computer and then try again

It also could be blocked in he's Firewall ask them to add forumotion.com to there safe sites list.

I have heard before that the Turkish government has blocked Forumotion. If this is the case then I'm afraid we can't do much about it.

Using TOR is a good fix http://www.torproject.org - should be able to get past most filters.

Anyway, good luck. You can also try a proxy, or a VPN. But in my opinion TOR is the best tool for the job here.
