Changing Post Counts - 2
Yesterday I asked if it was possible to change a member's post count - and was told no. When reading the FAQ at the top of the page in my nav bar - I came across this -
How do I change my rank?
In general you cannot directly change the wording of any rank (ranks appear below your username in topics and on your profile depending on the style used). Most boards use ranks to indicate the number of posts you have made and to identify certain users. For example, moderators and administrators may have a special rank. Please do not abuse the board by posting unnecessarily just to increase your rank -- you will probably find the moderator or administrator will simply lower your post count.
So now I'm confused. According the this FAQ - it is possible

It depends of permissions...
If the Admin has setted permissions in the forum to allow users delete his own posts, you will can do it, but, if not, a Moderator or Admin will have to manually delete the post (or posts)
Other option is using the sinchronize option, but that doesnt really delete posts, it just makes the post counter decrease to zero, but it doesnt delete post...

OK - so then a member or admin only has the ability to decrease post count rather than increase post count. Hope I'm understanding that correctly
Thanks for the fast reply

Post count cant be increased automatically (just making real posts)
But it can be decreased, deleting manually posts, or using sinchronize option (but this, as I said before, doesnt delete posts, just changes the post number tozero, but the post still will be there...
Besides, the synchronize option can be used only by the forum founder, not by his secondary Admins or Moderators.
