Help - I'm being slandered with lies and false information on one of your forums

Hi,

I don't want to link openly this forum, nor what is being said about me, but from what I've read, there are rules that forums that are made from your website here, have, that people aren't allowed to insult nor slander people. If I can link one of the Moderators or Administrators to this forum, and show what is being said about me, is there any way that that forum can receive a "cease and desist" order, and/or be deleted? Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used that. Thanks for your help! I have a few more questions-

1- What will likely happen from here? Will they be deleted or receive a warning or what?

2- I haven't received a reply yet - is there a certain period of time I should wait?

You will not receive any reply from the ligitation team. They will read the report and check the forum.

If the forum in question is found to be breaking our terms of service then it will be removed. However, if there isn't then no action will be taken. Please note that you won't be informed of anything.

Such a poor system.

If the slander on the other forum can be proven to be affecting your company or business, then you'd be better off taking legal action. At least something will get done that way.

If the slander on the board is just a harmless opinion that you dislike, then you'll have to live with it.

Yeah it would depend on exactly what is taken place.
If it's someone just talking smack/nonsense.. then i doubt anything would be done about it.

But now if it is something that is doing some true harm and or affecting things in your personal life,others around you, or your surroundings, Then of course forumotion would never tolerate such things and take all the appropriate actions necessary.

Other then that. If you reported it to litigation's it is in their hands to investigate the report and take actions if needed ?

So be sure to explain all you can in the report along with sending any links and screen shots that will show and prove the abuse taken place.
