Boxes around forum, whos online and banner

How do you put like the banner, forums, and like who is online box in boxes like in the forum below?

Like each one of those things are in dark grey boxes with black outline. Also how do u make it see through then so you can see the background through the forums and who is online box?

How do u do that stuff?

For us to see the forum, we would have to register is what I meant. All I see is the log in page.

When looking at the window you want press prtsc. Then open an image editing program if you have one like paint. Then copy and paste the image. Save it and upload it to an image hosting site like photobucket, imgur, imageshak, tinypic etc. Then put it as an image or two in this thread. So we can see what you're wanting to do without having to register or use your log-in info.
