Scrolling Announcements and Something that Might Be Related

Ok, so I'm attempting to activate the scrolling announcements for my forum and I ran into two problems:

1. I followed the guide for activating the announcements but when I go back to my page, it doesn't show up. I put it so that it will show on all pages, but it didn't show up on any.

W. I don't know if this is related, but after I finished activating or attempt or activating the scrolling announcements, I saw this on the home page above the Chat box:



So My questions are:
1. What could i have done wrong while acting the scrolling announcements

2. How do I remove that thing above the Chat box, It just appeared today.

Any help will be appreciated greatly and thanks in advanced to anyone who knows what is going on

I managed to get the announcement on, but can I make the font bigger or change color? But I haven't yet figure out how to delete that thing above the chat box. Thanks a million.

You can use BBCode tags in announcements.

Wow thanks, is BBcode similar to HTML coding right?
So what of the "New users" above the chat box, I have no idea what I mucked up Thanks again.

Oh and I was looking up BBcode and I found this: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=57.0 but it't different from the code you used, does this format works with forumotion too?

Take a look at this - https://help.forumotion.com/faq?mode=bbcode . It shows all the BBCode tags that can be used on your forum. When you are posting on your forum, there should be a link to BBCodes near the text editor.
