Invision Help
Well Runaway Horses, LGForums, Rideem and so many others have been saying how phpbb2 is so outdated. So i started to create another different website this time taking my time and choosing an invision website. Im liking some of the capablities so far. Though I am truly lost on alot of this. Ive learned the css on phpbb2 and the css on invision is so stretch and not neatly configured at least the skin i chose was not. If you go to my website
www.thegamerspodium.forumotion.com you will see you are able to open the frames of the forum and statistics. nicely done. now I want to create so much more with this site. I want to make this site look and feel like a real website and not a forum board. So stating this I want to make another section for blogs that stays open when you go to the page, and forum and statistics are closed. You can close and open any of these on free will but when first coming and what not the blog section is open and the other two are closed.
Also since Im seeing iframes are being able to be used is it possible to create a website with this dynamic field? Saying what i did above but instead of blog its a website that does not ever close. And when you scroll down theres the forum and statistics wating to be opened? How could I do this...
And another question is whats the best functions of invision? Like what are my capabilities with it? Can I transform the profile feilds to make something completely different? sort of like a gamers card?
I believe i may just switch to punbb. Since it has the template editing and i am an amateur. same questions but for punbb now. also please go to to the same link listed above, i am not going to change until my answers are fulfilled. i like the way the memberlist is set up, is this possible with punbb? and still would like to know the capabilities of punbb! And if i could integrate my template now to punbb?

Re: Invision Help
iframes. go to the website and youll see what i mean. they have forums in a frame that is able to opena and close. then they have statistics in another frame that does the same. I want to be able to make another one for blog specific and open once you type in www.website.com and click enter. that blog will be open and the other two will be closed. Im not sure if i want to stick with invision for im having alot of problems understanding everything ya know? should i switch to phpbb3 or punbb? or would i not be able to do this sort of thing?
Re: Invision Help
If you are using the Invision version, you should have the expand and collapse buttons on your categories and who's online area. If you have a category or categories that has blogs, they should also have the same buttons.

Re: Invision Help
@Rideem, yeah i found out what they were exactly in the sense. Screen shots are impossible for i do not have firefox nor chrome right now on this computer other computer fried so.
But what exactly what i want is the two sections Forum and Statistics to be closed when visited everytime. instead of auto opened. And on the top of those i'd like to make an iframe about the same width as though which i can mess around with showing the html pages i'd like to create. the css style that i have for this theme is like three very longs lines instead of being like so
code
code
code
its code code code
so its hard to understand what im looking at. but yeah how would i insert an iframe above those two? and how to keep them closed until they are opened on there own?
