In progress Problem with forum redirection (old hostname)

Post by Watermeloentje July 31st 2012, 11:16 pm

Hello,

my name is Olivier and I'm owner of the Dutch forum www.toadplaza.com,

a year ago (7/28/2011) Forummotion offered me a free domain name. I accepted, and a week later my domainname was changed from toadplaza.actieforum.com in Toadplaza.com. This would last for 730 days, according to the ownerspanel. However, since three days ago, it's impossible to open my forum. When I open www.toadplaza.com, it says the hostname is waiting for deletion or renewal. When I open www.toadplaza.actieforum.com, it redirects to www.toadplaza.com, and thus to the site where it's said that the hostname is waiting for deletion or renewal.

Is forummotion trying to renew my domainname? Or was the information incorrect and did I lose my domainname? At least I want to open my site, but it's kinda tricky to say the hostname lasts for two years, and after one year I lose my domainname and it's even impossible to open the site.

Try to access your administration panel by using the Forum Utilities - https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/

Already tried. It says I own this domain for another 362 days. Still, it isn't very effective. I need more support. Will my hostname be renewed? If it is (which I expect, because it says I have my hostname for another year), I'll be happy to wait a few days. If not, please fix it so I can open my forum as soon as possible. My forum has a lot of active users.

When you are in the administration panel remove the redirection.

Can't,not enough time. When opening Administration Panel, after a few hits, it redirects to the hostname.

Forumotion domain names are only good for a year. If your domain name is for two years, could it be that it was not with Forumotion?

Nou, it sure was Forumotion, I got it for free because of my forum activity or something. It is one of the best running forums in the Netherlands...

It said that the Domainname would expire in 729 days when I got it.

Even when it's possible to open the site again, it isn't possible for me to renew the domain name, because it says I have this name for another year.

And, please, is it possible for you to find out my situation? If my Domain Name will be renewed?

EDIT:
Okay, now it's getting annoying. I don't have the feeling you are taking me seriously, so here:

- Since it's for me impossible to change the directionstuff; do it yourself. It's your mistake I can't open my Domainpage, not mine!
- Give me another year for à Domain name. You promised it, you offered it, so I expert it to get it
- I'm using Forumotion for a pretty long time, so I wish a bit more respect please. Off course I opened utilities; I'm not stupid. À lot of people are already waiting 4 days for me to open the forum, and it's pretty hard to get in contact with them now.
- For me, it is, thanks to à unfullfilled promise, impossible to open my forum. Unless you have idea to fix the redirection.

Sorry that you feel that I am not taken you serious. I am only trying to help. We will have to wait until Leeloo logs on, because she is the one who can see what the problem is.

Hello,

You can access your Admin Panel.
Here : http://toadplaza.actieforum.com/admin

Then, our offered domain name are only available for 1 year. So, it must be a glitch or something like that, I'm trying to know what happened.

Anyway, don't worry. Your domain name isn't lost.

Edit : it solved now. We have renewed your domain name, according to the message shown in your Admin Panel Wink

Thanks
