Solved Bot Thingy

Post by Asriel Fri Nov 09 2012, 03:00

I have this weird thing signing up on my site I don't know whether it's human or not. I mean, I keep sending messages and everything, but it never replies back. I mean if it was someone who was serious about joining the site, they'd respond I am guessing. Also, if it was human, I guess it would like go around the site, but it doesn't. I keep deleting account after 48 hrs, but I feel like its the same dude or bot. So, does anyone know any solution for this. I am sick of whoever signs up to our site and never responds. Are there any code to prevent bots, if it is indeed a bot, from signing up every time.

Please change the title of your topic, that is related to your question/issue, so that other users will be able to find their question/issue using the search engine.

Is this member/bot causing any problems? If it is not breaking any rules/guidelines, I do not see why you want to delete the account.

I don't know for sure if it's a bot or human. There is a message on register page that says...blah, blah, blah, I mean if it was human it would be able to read the message unless someone signs up without following rules on purpose.

First off, I'd recommend for you to IP ban him/her/it.

Another thing, is your confirmation code activation on? That's one of the reasons why bot can get in if there isn't any confirmation code activation on.

Thank you so much for the help. I can't ban his IP because he hasn't posted anything. But I will activate the code then. Thank you! Solved.
