502 HTML Error
Question about the "maintenance" that happened just now, actually two questions.
1) Is it gonna happen more frequent without warning.
2) Is the cause behind it found out and settled?
Kind regards,
M.

Re: 502 HTML Error
Hi,
This is not a planned maintenance, and the cause is known, or made by the Technicians.
The technicians are attempting to fix the issue right now. Please be patient.
Note that it is nearly midnight for our Technicians
If there is a planned maintenance, you will e atleast 48 hours notice by either Leeloo, or The Godfather (Our pro-admins, in the office.)

Good evening, we currently encounter some troubles. It is clear that these were not programmed without which we would have notified you beforehand.
We do everything in our power to solve this problem as soon as possible!
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: 502 HTML Error
Hi!
Yh, thanks for the update on the other topic, SLG. I was in the middle of making CSS changes when it happened and everyone was thrown off. Timing always seems to be worst in these kind of cases, but what can we do more? I just checked my board, it's fine, though the connection speed is still a bit sluggish. It seems to be stabilizing now.
Any chance on another outage today? Because if you're certain, I'd better call it for today.
Thanks and all the best,
Samantha

Re: 502 HTML Error
Sam, I unfortunately have no idea, I'm not France. It would be safe to assume that there's no planned maintenance (Otherwise there'd have been an announcement)
This outage was far from planned as well.
If there is another outage, rest assured, the Devs will be right back into the office, plus tomorrow is Monday, so the Devs will be back in the office at normal 9-5

Re: 502 HTML Error
I'm not talking with the Devs, I've simply read a facebook update from our mother-company, our French counterpart - Forumactif
I'm not speaking on their behalf, but simply relaying a message, which was required to help both you and Samantha
Also, our contact to the office is offline for another 11 or so hours.

You're not staff, you're a member. What on earth makes you think I'd question staff to update this thread in a proper way? I don't live on assumptions when I'm talking to Forumotion-staff.
Now, if it's the Paris timezone, in which I live in, tomorrow will be Tuesday, not Monday. Please, get those facts together before responding, k?
And please stop calling me Sam, I'm not your sister.
Samantha.

Re: 502 HTML Error
My friend is called Samantha, I call her Sammy.
Back on topic, yeah I do agree with Sammy RadioHead just being a member, and has not posted any kind of source which we could use to find the actual truth. So I'll be waiting on proper reaction from the staff, if there ever is gonna be one.
Kind Regards,
M.

Off-topic, Sammy's better, but friends and family only. We're all grownups here, I guess, so let's keep things straight here.

Re: 502 HTML Error
For one if you care to look over on the french forum there is info from the head tech staff over there http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.forumactif.com%2F
this shows the info that was gave by RadioHead is true there was a problem with the main servers and they have fixed the problem but there is still a little problem of some items are taking longer to come up and the forum is still a little slow
The tech's do know about this problem and i'm 100% there still working on it right now

OK, I'm pretty sure it's in good hands. When can we expect the next update?

Re: 502 HTML Error
Regret this inconvenience. I have brought this thread to the attention of Leeloo & asked her if it was planned maintenance or what. When she comes online, she will clarify.
Also, if someone has to quote some information/update from anyone please post your source & reference link so others are not misinformed in any way.
Offtopic, with the name thing. Everyone just calm down.

Re: 502 HTML Error
OK, well I've got 2 controversial posts on it from France:
This one makes it seem to be resolved:
Original: http://forum.forumactif.com/t345085-indisponibilite-des-serveurs-code-504-502
Translation: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.forumactif.com%2Ft345085-indisponibilite-des-serveurs-code-504-502
However, and I cannot retrieve that source that quickly, someone also said one or more of the illiweb servers has/have crashed, so people are experiencing problems with loading pictures, backgrounds and so on and that's slowing things down.
Is one or both correct? Can we expect another downtime anywhere soon again? What I'm looking for is some sort of comforting and very clear message on that here, so we can get back to work on our fora, not having to worry about another possible outage or so ...

Re: 502 HTML Error
SamanthaS, i wasn't asking a reference from you. I just posted it so in the future its not a problem for anyone. It was a general comment.
About the downtime again, Leeloo will clarify on it when she sees the thread.

Re: 502 HTML Error
Hello,
The maintenance wasn't planned at all.
We had a server problem, which has been solved as soon as possible by our technicians. Now, everything is back to normal.
Thanks for your patience !
