is there any way newsletter can be force-selected globally in profile?

Hello :-)

I was wanting to use the newsletter to be able to contact all members, but am seeing in the profile that they can select or deselect. I really need to ask how I can cause that to be force-selected, or 'grey it out' somehow. I haven't done CSS before, but would be able to try a little bit of it, if I know where I'm going to also in the settings.

Not possible. You could manually go through each profile before sending a newsletter.

I will give you a word of warning, if people have ticked no, to not having a newsletter sent out then you might want to avoid changing it for people as they'll most likely think your newsletter is spam because they've thought they've ticked the "no newsletter option".

Thanks so much, SLGray and Derri ... I'd had a feeling it may come down to manually doing that, but will make sure I don't as that's a great point ... don't want people to feel spammed or that their choices have been overridden. I could just send it out to everyone who chose to receive it, then post it out in a thread, for those who didn't mark to receive a newsletter.
