Hi

While connecting on your forum you have an Adfly page. Other members manage to connect properly to the forum.
Normally, this page should only appear when a forum is banned because it is breaking Forumotion ToS. But, sometimes our anti-spam tool lists your personnal information as spammer.

Don't worry!! It is not a big deal. Our security tool is just too effective Cool  Cool  Cool

[Only topic] Adfly page appears while connecting on my forum Adfly10

To solve this problem send the following information to Buttercup, our ProAdmin:

-IP
-Username (on the forum)
-Email
- The URL of your forum

Thanks

It depends when the adfly page is appearing.
If you got the page with the member account, I need member info.
If you got the page with the admin account, I need admin info Smile

I have been trying to send you the info via pm & it won't send....this line keeps coming up...

New members are not allowed to post external links or emails for 7 days. Please contact the forum administrator for more information.

My members aren't going to be happy waiting 7 days to have this fixed, they have already informed me that they will drop my site because this is so uncalled for & a huge inconvenience.

How can I move forward in a quick & positive manner with this issue, my concern will be others may have already been compromised & left instead of advising there was a problem. ;(

I cannot directly reply by quote button here & I have broken the site link as you suggested & it will not let me send the info via pm to buttercup. I keep getting the line:

New members are not allowed to post external links or emails for 7 days. Please contact the forum administrator for more information.

Why can't I send a pm?  scratch  I am sooooo confused over all this stuff. Crying or Very sad  Embarassed

Are you adding spaces to the email addresses, too?

Seriously? I don't mean to sound irritated or anything but this is a huge inconvenience as I had events set up for my forum and this now ruins the entire plan we've been working on for the past week. Is there anyone else who can handle this?

Buttercup and The GodFather are the only ones who exactly work for Forumotion. All other staff are voluntary staff.

Why is this happening all of the sudden? I mean, it's obviously not just me considering all the other posts I'm finding so what changed? this seems to be a very irritating and growing issue.

Yes I am spacing the emails & it's still saying I need to be a member for 7 days before I can send. Another member got hit today, a couple phone calls made has proven 2 others have been out for a couple weeks. We are not a big group so when this happens it's really not good for the ones who are there.

This was suppose to be a simple fix but my members are not liking this one bit. Sad  Sad

Am I suppose to be adding spaces to the email addy's as well....I have tried to send with the spacing and without to no success. I have even changed up the places spaces were added & still not able to sent. May I plz ask why I would have to be a member for 7 days to a help site to get help. I am so not understanding any of this. My members are wanting in to the site to communicate with other members & the site owner or admins cannot offer any help or advise as to why this is even happening. I feel like I have wasted 2.5 days here for absolutely nothing as even my last post received no reply.....I do not understand any of this. Sorry if I sound ungrateful or nasty, it is not my intention, I am just frustrated that some are not able to communicate & I as a site admin cannot offer any help. I just hope this does not cost me our close knit little site. Confused  Sad

Hello,

I do apologize for the fact you're having trouble.

What I'd personally do is this.

examplemail (at) example . com

I think that would bypass it. I also agree the security defences are rather annoying but we'd have a ton of spam otherwise.

I'm sure if you do the above you'll be able to send the message. I'm sure buttercup will understand that (at) means @

Again I apologize for this inconvenience.

Hello dear members

For some of you, I have well received your private messages and all information have been sent to our technicians.
Infact, ProAdmin are not working on the weekend (As many other companies), that's why we have a wonderful staff of volunteers. However, they cannot solve of issues.

Thanks for your understanding and feel free to send me all information if you still have the Adfly page appearing...

How long does it usually take to have members back into the forum....I have an anxious one that is wondering why it's taking so long. This issue was reported Jan 31 & many have now experienced the same thing.....just asking on behalf of our forum members with no disrespect intended.

Yes I have, yesterday morning my time. Wondering how long it actually takes from there for the IT's to fix it. Will they also be able to figure out & explain why this happened in the first place?

All we can do is wait patiently under Buttercup logs onto the support forum (French time: Monday - Friday) and gives us any information from Forumotion.

As with the others, I cannot get into our forum and have sent a PM to Buttercup as instructed (today, just before this post). If you can give me an idea of how long it will take to get this fixed, I would appreciate it. I need to let the other members of our forum know what is happening (and perhaps warn them it could happen to them, as well?). Very frustrating, as I'm sure you are probably fully aware.
