Forumotion doesn't support Emoji characters
This is a bug that I found recently on FM forums. The point is that when you're trying to use and Emoji character (UNICODE) like the following, the message parser gets bugged and it stop parsing text from the emoji to above.
BUT, if you put the Emoji character as a HTML entity (the way I used to write the Emoji up there), the emoticon will be parsed once (because when you'll try to edit the messege, the character will not appear as a HTML entity, but a character itself so this creates a loop that will make you edit each Emoji to its HTML entity to make sure FM parses your message).
This error while parsing happens on Templates, JS pages, etc. I think it's an error with the escape of characters and it would be easy to allow this kind of characters I think.
Hope you guys understand this because we have to add that I'm REALLY bad explaining things and that English is not my first language.
EDIT: This seems that it's only happening with Spanish forums.

As far as I know, this might be caused due to the different charset encoding the Spanish language has (ISO-8859-1) which only supports a set amount of characters, whereas HTML supports just about everything. Directly using a certain UTF-8 character will not display properly if it is out of range of the ISO-8859-1 charset encoding. For now, stick to the HTML entity.

But, shouldn't it be solved?

I do think it should, but there is no workaround for you but sticking to HTML entities unless FM fixes the way their backend works. Sorry to tell you this way.

Yea I suposed that I'd have to use HTML entities meanwhile. Hope an admin will send this to Global Technical Issues to proceed to fix this.

Just as an FYI it's not just Spanish forums, that's the way emoji's appear on my forum as well. If the little box isn't deleted, often times it distorts the whole post.

I don't know, but I edited my post to add that extra information because when I was writing it I noticed that in this forum I can paste the Emoji characters without any problem. 😀😀 You see? Kinda weird.

Did you paste the emoji's or the boxes? All I see are the boxes.

Oh, well, now I get what you mean. The boxes you see are the emoji, because most probably thing is that you're using a OS/web browser outdated that doesn't support them yet. But yes, the problem is the same, but in your case instead of Emojis you'll see just boxes.

It's not just me, it's many members of my forum. I don't think it's the browser. I use both Chrome and IE9 and it happens on both browsers.

But, there's no way to fix it? I mean, maybe FM tech can solve this problem because it's very common that webpages support them. They're just like letters.
