I'd like to insert an email link inside a post.

I tried the <a href="mailto:name@email.com">Link text</a> syntax but it didn't work.

Not necessarily looking for a shortcut/button for members. I just need to add my email to a post, occasionally as the admin.

Does it work if you use the Insert a Link button?

No, when you use the "Insert a Link" button, it applies the [url=*] tag.
