Censor word problems

I am still trying to ban words on my forum and I dont get how to ban the ACTUAL word because before if someone out

Assassin it would go ******in

So how do I properly censor these words?

Type the word you want censor then enter what you want to replace that word.

But it would ban the words that seem to have a similarity to it.
Like assassin would just show A**a**in in titles and posts.

Are you adding just Assassin or adding an *?

I am adding the * to show how it would show on a forum like mine since its kinda like a debating and general such site.

You need only to enter the word as it is spelled: Assassin, then enter what will replace it.

Also any censored words before you activate the word will not be censored in old posts.

What is the wildcard they put when people need help?

What do you mean wild card? Do you mean an artisk (*)?

If you use that, it will cause any word that contains the letters to be censored.
