Solved Domain transfer query

Post by Tansy Firedragon November 9th 2016, 10:17 am

I have a forumotion site that has a personalised domain name www.kitchenwitchhearth.com
I am looking to redesign the site by starting a new forumotion forum from scratch, once it is finished is it possible to transfer the domain name from one forumotion site to another forumotion site?
Thanks.

Originally several years ago we purchased it elsewhere but for the last couple of years it has been renewed through forumotion i.e. you have renewed it for us.

Each year we get a message from forumotion asking if we would like the domain name renewed - we say yes and forumotion does it for us- we don't pay any money.

I have no idea who we originally purchased it from as it has been several years and we don't get any notification from them.

OK thanks. Not a huge problem - we will have to work with it!
I want to do a major forum redesign so it makes more sense to start a brand new forum and work with it 'behind the scenes' whilst the original forum is still running so that's what we will have to do.
Thanks for your help.

Actually...is there another way to do this?
Can I create a brand new skin/forum design and just transfer that design to the original forum?
