Hi, how do I get rid of my forumlt sub-domain from the search engines? I already have my own domain set up.

Hello wernis,

Just to understand, you created a forum with this free address Link Removed and now, you would replace this address by Link Removed (your own domain) in the search engines' results. Correct?

The change is automatic but may take up to three weeks. You must be patient  get rid of forumlt 1f609

On the "forum" and "topic" pages, you can find a canonical tag with the correct domain name:

- http://Link Removed/f1-pasiulymai-atsiliepimai : <link rel="canonical" href="http://Link Removed/f1-pasiulymai-atsiliepimai" />
- http://Link Removed/t8-pasiulymai-forumo-atnaujimui : <link rel="canonical" href="http:///t8-pasiulymai-forumo-atnaujimui" />

These canonical tags tell to Google to index the correct domain name: Link Removed

To speed up the change, you can add your forum (with the correct domain name) to Google Search Console.

It takes time for the search engines to index your forum again to get the new links.

You can also speed up the process by sharing your content:  Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.

Both of my links are showing, because both of them are working, how do I prevent forumlt from appearing on google?

After awhile, only the domain name link will appear.  Just like we have said, it takes time for the search engines to index your forum again.

This is one of the reasons why changing domain names causes issues with your forum's SEO.
