Hi,

I recently purchased a domain which expired. Is there anyway to recover the domain?

I think the key question here is: What do you mean by 'recovering a domain'? Could you pls. be more specific on what you're trying to achieve? Thanks in advance.

Quite self explanatory really, not sure why you fail to understand.

1. I purchased a domain.
2. The domain expired - wasn't renewed.
3. I want to use the same domain and recovery it and the contents.

Hello @Yong Min.
Before I can offer advice I have to make sure of a couple things. First, was the domain you purchased from forumotion and done through the Administration Panel? Secondly, if it was you stated "The domain expired - wasn't renewed" so I'm assuming that your domain name has returned to its subdomain name form. The solution to this would be to simply repurchase it within the admin panel which only the founder of the forum can access. However, since you mentioned recovery, what do you mean by "recovery of contents"? Are you referring to things like the domain's SEO in google, yahoo, etc.?

Hi, yes the domain was purchased through forumotion via the ACP. When I put in the same domain, it says it's unavilable, even going back to the forum, it still says that domain is unavailable.

As for recovery of the content, I have managed to get that via the sub domain as you explained. Thank you for that.

Hi there,

The domaim is rscdevelopment.org and the forum address is http://rscdevelopment2k16.forumotion.co.uk/

Currently there isn't any credits due to only just being able to get back onto the forum, but I have no problem in ensuring 1,600 credits are available if I can guarantee the domain is available for me again.

I will send a request online now and ask the head office if we can get the domain back as most of the time the domain name is still in our servers and we can still make the change our end.

but if the domain name has been gone to long them we cant do anything so i will ask for you and see what we can do Smile

EDIT:

Please let me remind you that the domain name is down to you to renew every year and if we can get your domain back this will be a one off thing and we will not ever do this again for you.

Dear @Yong Min Good news your domain name is now set up so you can buy it again using the tools on the ACP.

Please also remember this was a one off fix and we will NOT offer this again if you run out of time so make sure your keep an eye on your domain name from now on.

Kind regards,

APE and the Forumotion Team

P.S if you have any problems please feel free to let me know by posting here.
