Keep getting Invalid log in

Description of problem

I am logged into 2 groups with no issue but when I try to log in to Graphics Utopia or Nutters I get a message my member name is invalid and it is not!!! I logged into 2 other groups with the same member name and password without a problem. This has been going on off and on for nearly 10 years. I am totally frustrated!!!!!! I have about 3 or 4 other ID's that this happened with as well. I gave up trying to use them. Why is this happening? I am so totally frustrated. I have seen posts on a different site from other people trying to join a group here that have this same issue. They make an ID and it works for a few times and then it does not work anymore. Have you contacted the staff on the forums where you are having the issue on?

You need to talk to the founder or the staff of that forum.

We have no power over the settings on the members we can only help the founders of the forums.

so your best thing to do is Email the founder of the forum's.

You can also use the contact link in the footer links at the bottom of each forum.

I do not believe this is a forumotion issue, if it was we would be getting complaints about this from not only a ton of users on forumotion sites but tons of founders as well and so far you are the only one having this issue. We have no control over the accounts on other forums. We can only help the founder of the forum if they get locked out of the account. Other then that any other issues with indiviual accounts on forums have to be dealt with by the admins on that site. I have trouble believing there is nothing that the admins over there can do, there is a couple things they can do such as reset your password for you, change the username or email if nessecary. If for some reason the account itself was made inactive in the system for some reason (tho the only way this should happen after you validate it through the email you get after sign up is if an admin on that site manually deactivates your account) they can re activate it. The admins and founder of any forumotion forum have all the tools nessecary to resolve issues with users accounts on their own.

I would ask the site admins again to help you, because I know that they can, having owned and run a forumotion forum for over 6 or 7 years now I know there are tools to resolve issues like this. So what I recommend is asking the admin to look into it for you and either reset your password or whatever for you and have them help you as they are the only ones with the power on that forum to do so.

Ask the founders of those forums to come here and ask for help.

The thread starter (Teddie) is a member at the forum I am an admin for.
I just found out she's been having problems logging in, as she said above.

We've only had this forum for a couple weeks. Our owner lives overseas and isn't on all the time. Does she have to come here to get any help? Or is there something I as an admin can do? Thanks.

So you can log into 2 forums, but not 2 others?  Are you using the same login information on all 4 forums?

Did you have a username change on your forum at any time ?
And a password change at any time ?

Hi Ape, I'm sorry about the duplicate thread. I was not the thread starter here.

That's why I started a new thread, because I assumed no one with knowledge would pay attention to my post on this thread.

Teddie is saying her name was changed on 1 forum (not mine) and now she can't log in to our forum our the one where her info was changed. I'm understanding her to say that an owner or admin changed her info at the suggestion of someone here. Somehow her username changed on our forum as well. There is no evidence in our admin section that anyone changed anything in connection with her account.

Hopefully Teddie will come back and provide more info. I was just trying to help her out.

all staff will read all the posts made on this thread before replying to you or any one.

We like to talk to founders about this sort of thing or if the founder is not about then A admin Will be fine.

Admin's can help with this sort of thing as its a members problem.

Why i ask if the members name and password has been changed is down to sometimes there is files on the forum that can get mixed up and i have just done one with almost the same problem and i went in the ACP with a test account and fixed it but before i can do that i need to know if the members account was changed in any way.

Then after that i need a test account with admin right's to run more tests.

Apparently, based on her reply right above yours, the problem is hopefully solved. If not, I'll post.

PS....I built a forum  here in 2008 and next day wanted to log in and could not.  No one would help me so I let the place just go and sit.  Not sure if you all finally deleted it or not.

Can admins change a persons name to something shorter without changing their log in?  That is how this mess got started.  Someone who knows me as Teddie changed my name and suddenly I was locked out of both groups.  

I do appreciate your help.  You questions helped them figure out what the hell to do.  LOL   I think this may have happened a few other times as well.  It still does not explain the loss of my group in 2008 as I was the only member.  It is not of any importance now though so don't worry about it.
