Search Engine/System On Our Forums

I have noticed that many members have been asking about the search engine on our forums.  It is by default set up to only search for keywords in topic titles.  If you have the hashtag feature activated on your forum, you can exactly search for tagged keywords in posts.  When you do a search, you need to check the tag box.

So if you have a private forum that requires login there is no way to search all text in the forum since google can't index it? Searching works fine on forum24.se which also uses phpbb. Forum24 is not responsive for mobile phones though... I think being able to search is a really key feature that I can't do without in such a forum.

If you have an issue, please post in the correct support section.This topic was only created to show that you could search for keywords in posts by using hashtags.

Also this topic is about the search system on our forums, not search engines like Google.

In the support section it seems the answer is just what is written above though, i.e. you don't support full text searching:

Sound strange to me since a normal pgpBB installation have that kind of support? That is at least my experience backwards in time (and on forum24.se).

So I will alas have to look elsewhere.

We do not have all the features of phpBB, punBB, or Invision.
