New users accepted without admin approval

Hello.

I've read the archives about this and am hoping for some new answers. We just had someone register and gain access to our forum without admin approval. The settings are set so that new users must be approved by an admin and no admin let them in. I would like to know why this happened?

Actually if Topic'it is allowed in your forum, users can skip the restriction. This is a known error and bug and as far as I remember, I read some time ago that the techs are aware of this. Anyway maybe someone from the staff can confirm it

If you do have Topic'It activated, you have to set it where it does not override your forum's settings.

I did not know that! I have changed the settings to not allow it at all. I feel my group is safer that way. Thank you very much.
