redirecting webmail

I must be missing something ( other than marbles ). When I create myself a webmail . IE: joes@domainname.com . I go to the next prompt to redirect .


I enter the webmail name . Then below I enter the email I want to redirect to .
At the top it says ...
" This page allows you to create a new redirection or modify an existing one.

Before creating a new redirection, make sure first that the email address is not in your list of mailboxes on the forum. If so, you will have to delete it before creating the redirection."

If I delete it how will it get redirected ?

Maybe I am not understanding redirection ? I thought it to mean if I or anyone sends me a message to joes@domainname.com . I should get a copy of it in my joe@gmail.com . Right ? Wrong ? .
If I have to delete it before I redirect it . It doesn't exist to redirect .

Okay I can help here.

Now if you just want a email address you would use the top part Mailboxes list
This is the main address and you can make 10 of them.

Now if you want to use an address to Redirect to your home email address like Gmail hotmail, Yahoo you will need to make a new Email address using webmail.

This is done by clicking on the Create A Redirection Button.

Now in the box E-mail address type in a address NOTE this can't be used in the Mailboxes list.

then you would add your main Email address to the Redirect to This would be say your hotmail, yahoo Gmail, account.

This is how i done it



as you can see the address i then give out is

Code: mods@achatworld.com

This then sends all my Emails i get to my Gmail account not linked to my forum at all other then the webamil account

I also recovered a previously deleted webmail address . I just had to remember the exact NAME I used with it .
