Description of problem

When I try to load my Forum at: http://www.sof-bf4.net/forum

The message says: sof-bf4.net has expired. forumotion hosts my forum and takes care of the internet access that I paid for. But my Website forum can't be accessed by me or anyone. I noticed this on 9/28/2020. Since I can't access my webpage, I can't check in the Administrator Panel to find the problem.

I think the forum version I use in: phpBB2. But I can't access my forum to be sure. I hope the Screen Capture works for you. I'll try to post it to my Flickr account for you.

I don't deal directly with GoDaddy for my web forum. This is done through forumotion. Maybe my payment is due and forumotion doesn't have my new CC number?? How do I get back online???

Hello @redknightsoh5

The reason for this is your forum package has ran out and you are now on a free package.

You can not have a dmain name if you have a free package to get your domain name back you will need to log in to your Forum using this address https://sof-bf4.forumotion.com/ then Pay for a package you will need to make sure you pay for the package every year before the pack runs out to stop any problems showing up again.

Not sure how I missed the payment. Both my PayPal Credit Cards were expired. I didn't know that. All updated now. Hope to be back online soon.

Give me a day or two to make sure my website forum is back up and running as it should. I have this forum page up to close the case when that happens. Thanks

Regarding the domain sof-bf4.net, it expired on September 12. Now is the last moment when we can still renew it. So if you want this area, you have to add 800 credits on your forum today (you already have 500 credits so 800 + 500 = 1200 credits):

As the expiration date has passed, we can lose control of the domain at any time. As a result, it depends on your reaction speed Wink

I renewed my account and domain yesterday via PayPal as your forum advised. I am now being charged $5.70 per month for your service. Are you saying I have to pay more some other way now?

My admin area says: "Tue 29 Sep 2020 - 13:59 Enabling the Advanced Package"

I read I need to pay by PayPal because my credits couldn't be used for some reason. It said to use PayPal to renew my 'Advanced Package'. My forum admin area says I have renewed my package... but my forum with it's domain name is still off line. See this: http://www.sof-bf4.net/

I just bought 1,000 more credits as of 9/30/20 at 11:45am. I hope this fixes this problem. It's always been confusing how payments work to keep my forum and domain up and running. This has happened before.

So I'm paying $5.70 per month to PayPal for my forum and I've added 1,000 more credits.

Let me know what I have to do now.

You are only paying for your package each month. This don't pay for your domain name.

The domain name comes at a cost of 1200 credits that is done yearly from your ACP.

Please read the information message in my screenshot:

Packages page wrote:Custom domain name (not included)
Ability to manually acquire or renew, as part of a valid Advanced or Premium package, a personalized domain name (not included in the package activation or renewal price) for an additional 1200 credits.

The domain name is not included in the package. The package only gives the possibility to have a domain name but you have to pay 1200 credits for that.

Likewise if you have subscribed to a monthly package, payment is made via PayPal each month and not via the credits available on the forum.

Everything is marked on the packages page in your admin panel.

@The Godfather can now add your domain to your forum for you if you want him to As your domain name may be saying it's taken and you may not have have the renew domain button on your ACP.

You MUST always renew your package and domain on time to stop this happening again you will get a notice on your ACP 30 days before it is going to run out.

For 1200 credits you can have a personalized domain name for one year. You can at anytime delete it and retrieve your default domain name.

I renewed the domain name sof-bf4.net just now. It was really the last day to be able to do it...

As you are outside the renewal period, we must intervene manually. We will do the operation tomorrow because it takes time but your domain will be functional tomorrow.
