What can I do to mark specific posts with an icon?

Hello,

I know it is possible to mark topics with an icon, like the "solved" one on this very forum. But is there a way to mark specific posts?

The only way I know about right now, is to just edit the posts, and add an image of an icon. But I don't think that is ideal.

I also tried to add an image in the "post title" when editing, but it just appeared as text.

Ideally the icon should sit somewhere top-left.

Any other ideas?

Hi sadly the only way is to use the topic icons like we do here.

 Admin Control Panel Settings:
ACP >> Display tab >>  Pictures and Colors >> Pics management >> Advanced Mode >> Topic Icons tab >>

I tried to follow the tutorial above, and it did work.

However, it did only allow me to add prefixes to the "topic title" and not the "post title", like you did on your forum.

The prefixes are text not images

Use alongside the topic icons for images ( with custom permissions)

Ah, now I see. That's too bad...

So let's say that I wanted this heart to be displayed before the title of a specific post in a thread, let's say "post number 5". Then that's not possible? Because if I use "topic icons", the heart will be displayed before every single post title, and not just "post number 5"...

Yes, I know that you can add "topic icons" to specific threads, but you can't add them to specific posts, right? That is what I am trying to do...

Could you explain exactly why you want this?  Maybe we can come up with another solution for you.

If i understood correctly the member wants to add an icon to specific posts
Like we add topic icons or prefixes to topics same thing but to specific posts

I do not think we can do that

I also believe that is not possible since each post title in a topic is the same title except for the replies have RE:  in the beginning.

Ah, I see, that's too bad.

Then the closest thing would be to just edit the specific posts, and then to add an icon in one of the corners. Just like I have done in this very post. (Check out the heart in the top right corner.)

I will leave this thread open for a few more days, just in case someone with a better solution stops by...
