member keeps getting logged out

i have seen this problem asked about on here before, but there has never been an explanation given. now one of my members is experiencing the same problem.

every time the member clicks a link or thread in the forum, he keeps getting logged out (even though he has ticked the box to be kept logged on). he is finding it very frustrating to have to log in every time he clicks something!!! it happens to him on every forum, not just mine. he has cleared his cache but to no avail. he is using windows and firefox, and obviously the problem must be with his computer and not the forums. has anyone got any suggestions please???

Ask him to try the following:

Go to Firefox "Settings >> Privacy >> Cookies >> Exceptions". Add your site adress here as allowed exception. If you forum uses a customized domain, you have to enter both your custom domain and the original forum adress (the one with ... .forumotion.com for example).

yes thanks!! i tried to explain this to him, i am waiting to see if he has had any luck!! he says it is on all forumotion forums (except for this one) which strikes me as being a bit odd!!!

i think its on Users&Groups>User Settings> Members

check YES on Default Automatic Log in
