Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
This whole deal seems rigged. Almost like they are trying to make some of us leave to free up server load.
The lack of response here is unprofessional and downright sad.
Im a big fan of the controls Forumotion gives so I'm not going anywhere... but these Forumotion problems (and this one IS their fault) that we are going through are happening too often and too close together...
I want to see a RESOLUTION and PROOF they arent going to REPEAT the SAME PROBLEMS over and over.

Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
Yeah, but its Jalokim. It's one of those situations where they can't do anything until he gets on and realizes that there is a problem. Since he uses a photobucket account to do all of this he has all the images and they can't log on to his personal account to change it.
I agree with you though for the most part. There was a server problem and it was fixed within the day a while back. But seriously, they should have a number or something to contact Jalokim. He's a very important person.

Yoshimo wrote:This is what I did and it worked
1. Open your CSS Sheet
2. Find all the PhotoBucket links (Make sure they are the direct links, starting with "http://" and ending with ".png or .gif")
3. Create or use a VERY EMPTY/Lightly used PhotoBucket account
4. Upload all the PhotoBucket links in the CSS Sheet to your PB acount
5. Replace all the PhotoBucket links with your own links from your profile
6. Save the CSS sheet.
7. Copy the url image http:// to browser
Save Image As then Upload to photo bucket
The problem with the thing, (I guess) is that once you go over too much space in your PhotoBucket account, all your images are still there, but they get replaced by the bandwidth thing. Because all of Jalokim's images are still there, but PhotoBucket's just changed what they look like because of his bandwidth problem.
Try that and it should work.
Worked! Done! Excellent specific instructions. Thank you so much!!!
I added step #7.
Thanks Goku!

Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
I want to say a big thank you as well!
You guys are great!
I changed a couple of links first - then checked - saw the progress - so completed the job. And FYI - I did not really know what I was doing - so excellent advice well explained!
And some good old fashioned sweat from me (our of fear of doing it)
Thanks again - and good luck to all who still struggle

Press F3 and search 'photobucket'. Every image found in photobucket needs to be saved and re-uploaded to a different hosting site (i.e. Tinypic, Imageshack, Fileden, etc).
Once you've re-uploaded those, switch them out for the Photobucket links in your CSS.
Done.

This is a problem related to Jalokim's Photobucket account, rather than something you, I or someone else can fix

Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
HBX210 you got 12 photobucket links in your css
you and only you can fix them
do as everyone is doing
This is what I did and it worked
1. Open your CSS Sheet
2. Find all the PhotoBucket links (Make sure they are the direct links, starting with "http://" and ending with ".png or .gif")
3. Save Image As
4. Upload all the PhotoBucket links in the CSS Sheet to anyother image hosting site like tinypic or servimg
6. Save the CSS sheet.

Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
Well that is good for you
but i will say that you must use other host then photobucket because photobucket keeps doing this type of things
don't know when it do the same thing again

Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
My forum is covered with photobucket images too. It's just a small forum for a few friends- I set it up to be pretty basic (I used one of the standard skins) and I haven't got any particular computer expertise. I haven't a clue how to edit my CSS panel- I didn't even know it existed until I read about it here and it took me ages to find it. I couldn't see anything that looked like a photobucket link but I'm not even sure I would recognize it. This problem happened before and it went away on its own. I can tell my members not to use photobucket in the future, but what can I do now? I'm afraid of deleting something that would mess up my board. Right now my board is unusable.

Floral effects skin with bandwidth problems. Thanks!
Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
well usuallly these things fix themselves by the 1st of the next month, so just wait until JAn 1st, and then save all the pics in the CSS style sheet

Floral effects with bandwidth problems again. Was fixed for a couple of days, but its back. Thanks!
Re: [Only Topic] Jalokim Themes Image Bandwidth problems
before anyone asks... the jalokim5 photobucket has expired once more.
I am no longer paying the fees for the jalokim5 account.
there are more themes on the other pb account so I'm only maintaining the other account.
follow these steps once the bandwidth returns

Thanks Goku!
This is a message to all forumotion users that have installed any Jalokim themes from hitskin that use the photobucket server.
As of the 8th of August , I will be closing the premium status of the account.
I will no longer be paying for the bandwidth of the images.
I recommend rehosting all the images in your CSS file. Instructions as to how to do this is found in the post above. Please rehost all the images or they will be lost after the 8th of August.
I thank all for using my themes, but seeing as I'm not directly a part of forumotion, nor do I create themes for hitskin anymore, there is no need to pay the bandwidth each month.
regards Jalokim
