I have my Forums/categories mixed up...
...and can't figure out what I need to do to remedy the situation?
See, here I have "General chat", but once you click on that, you have to click on another "general chat" to get there.

I'm a bit confused to what I need to do to make this so people don't have to click twice?

ok that look fine there i think your find its to do with the 2nd bit that is making your forums do what your saying this can be changed easy by going to Display then go to *Structure and hierarchy then click on the one you want and save
This is how i find out if its working go to PREVIEW FORUM each time and re-fresh it each time you change it that should help you out (SET this to Advanced

Re: I have my Forums/categories mixed up...
Ooops!
I just deleted the forum, presuming the category would act as a forum. Lol, it doesn't.
It's not a problem, because my forum is inactive at the moment. It auto pruned dozens of posts anyway, but I need to clean up this problem before I promote again...
Bit confused as to what I need to do, still...

it looks to me that you have got your settings like this Keep categories on index : Full you need to change it to the bottom set here Split categories on index : set it to Medium and save then take a look at your forum it should be like my one then
