Trojan Virus
To whom it may concern:
I have created a forum from this site. It is a external forum I added to my clan website. One of my clan members who recently signed up has informed me that he did in fact get a Trojan virus off of this very site.
Our clan website is family2fear.xippy.us. The forums on that site sucked so I created a forum from here to add to our clan website.
Our forumotion site is family2fear.forumotion.com.
This is the first issue I have had with this site. It is serious enough though for me to seek help or report for abuse.
He is from the UK and told me it has shut down both his laptop and home computer. He cannot even use his Internet Explorer. So he will have to go through a major hassle on both systems.
Is there anybody that can investigate this issue or give me help?

Re: Trojan Virus
It`s not just his laptop. He got the same thing on his home computer with a anti-virus program on both units.

I`m going to ask him if he used one of the ads. From what he said he was offered some type of offer before he got it.

Yes you have to be very careful about ads on your forums.

Re: Trojan Virus
I've just had a new user tell me the same thing, infact I was here to search for an answer.
Is there any way we can virus scan our forums?

Re: Trojan Virus
There is no option. There is no virus on forums. The Security System that users have on their forum provide false information because others reported it and the program has related to this.

Re: Trojan Virus
Theres a very cute attempt at a virus going around at the moment.
You're just sitting browsing, as you do, and all of a sudden you get red warning screens and flashes saying that your computer is infected with all number of trojans and worms and to 'click here to remove' all the viruses.
You then get a popup with a file to download.
DO NOT CLICK ON!
The popup contains the virus - if you're not sure, just do a quick scan with your normal antivirus software, which will confirm that there is nothing there at all.
