No flood control for editing
Suggestion: No flood control for editing
Sometimes you find a mistake after you sent your posting. But you must wait to edit the post, because the flood control is active. But why the flood control is active, if you want to edit a posting? I don't know the reason for this. If you click the edit-button, you don't want to make a double-posting or spam, you only want to edit your posting - flood control is unnecessary!
My suggestion is to deactivate the flood control for editing postings

Re: Suggestion: No flood control for editing
General. Also other forums can have a long flood control like here.
The probelm is: I want to edit a post immediatly after sending because I found typing mistakes. I click on the "edit"-button, then I correct the mistake, but after clicking on the "send"-button, I get the message "flood control is active..." - And my suggestion is, to deactivate the flood control for editing in every forum, because flood contorl for editing is unnecessary

Re: Suggestion: No flood control for editing
Look here in the support forum: Write a post. Send it. And promptly after sending click on "edit", edit your post and send it again - If you need less than 50 seconds for editing, you will get the message "Flood control is active..."
(I use FF 17.0.1.)

That is because how Sanket has set up the flood control for the support forum.
You can change it on your forum:

Re: Suggestion: No flood control for editing
You missunderstood me. The problem is not, that members are unable to edit a post after some days (I deactivated this option), the probem is, that flood contorl is also active, when you edit a post.
Here is a screenshot:
I sent this post, and clicked on the edit-button, and got the message "Flood control is active..."
And I think, it is unnecessary to wait for edit a posting!

Re: Suggestion: No flood control for editing
I vote yes to this
Im a helper here and some times i have to edit my post and i find it a pain in the butt when it comes up all the time. ok staff don't have this problem but all FF boards have this setting. it would be good to have the setting in the ACP to Add or remove the time limit on the Edit system so it's less or just not have it all all.
So for that you get my Vote
