Solved How to activate the UAS?

Post by freshmint September 2nd 2011, 4:54 am

Hi,

At Minthouse we are using phpBB3.
We would like to know, if there is any feature offered by the software that allows to activate the UAS (User Agent String)? Thank you very much for your time and help!

Kindest regards,
freshmint

Are you sure about it? So, it can't be implemented? If so, what a pity!
Anyway, thanks for your quick response!!

If I understand what I read when I Googled User Agent String, then no you can not use that on the forums. Are you trying to block web crawlers/bots from your forum?

Well, frankly speaking, it gives you an advantage over intruders.
Because aside from their IPs, you get some kind of fingerprints as well.

May I say it isn't? Because there wasn't any problem ever. Wink
If I got this right and according to all replies: UAS (User Agent String) is not offered by Forumotion.
So, yes, this "problem" is solved.
Except for my signature, which is activated on my account. But doesn't work. Sad
It should look like this:

Thank you very much for your time and help!
