Solved The navigation link

Post by Dark120513 December 10th 2011, 8:51 am

Hello,
I'm really having a lot of trouble with my navigation bar. I have decided to make another site specifically to act as my forumotion site's portal. So I tried to make the portal link to: http://www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal

But when I try to, it keeps saying "You can return to the index..."
My site: pokemonkrayarpg.forumotion.co.uk
Please help... Thanks.

You can return to the index...
When does that happen?

This link you posted works: http://www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal

The link on your Nav Bar here http://pokemonkrayarpg.forumotion.co.uk/ doesn't take you to that page link above. My guess is you have the link wrong. But besides all of that, why would anyone want a portal page?

If you make all your forum sections for members only to view all non-members will see is the login and register page. Like my forum is here:

I see what happened... when I put in the redirection, it put http://pokemonkrayarpg.forumotion.co.uk/admin/www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal?tid=53331c2ba028917e23c150258c89ac5a rather than www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal like I tried to... how do I make it not do that?

Help?? I've been searching for a way for a while now. I'd be happy if someone having a solution responded, please. If there is a way to create an HTML page that redirects the second you visit it, I guess that would work too.

It's because you have this in your link.

http://pokemonkrayarpg.forumotion.co.uk/admin/

you only want this.

http://www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal?tid=53331c2ba028917e23c150258c89ac5a

and actually this is probably where you want it to go, but it still looks a little off to me with the portal id, all you want to add is the main link that leads to the page of the wix you have,

Other then that, explain what links you want going from what site?
Because i dont know if you are trying to get to the portal page of your forum from the wix, or if you are going from your forum to the wix?

But whatever the case, you have to just use the main links.

Info added

what you should do is turn your portal setting off (since it's not the forums portal anyway)

Then create a new nav menu, add the wix link and you can name that portal or another title.

And thats it Smile

It's not exactly that, when I try to click it, the URL says

Code:
http://pokemonkrayarpg.forumotion.co.uk/www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal

rather than just the wix portal URL, it keeps putting the Forumotion Domain first.

-putting it in without the code thing made it act oddly-

Well it seems this topic really just solved itself. I found out I could just make an HTML page and simply put in <meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.wix.com/higurashistrike/pokemon-kraya-portal"> and it would redirect straight to the wanted page. So all good. ^^
