Account banned by hacker?

Hi,

I own a forum with Forumotion. I'm the admin and I also have a normal user account that I use for ordinary conversations. My normal user account became blocked on January 19. When I try to login I get the banned message. From the admin account I verified that the user account is not banned, there is nobody on the banned list, and according to the security log nobody was banned at all.

My guess is that the above symptoms are caused either by some forum software bug, or (more probably) by a hacker who wanted to compromise my forum activities and injected some script in the forum server that handles blocking the user account, without affecting the user database.

I'm not a forum techie at all, so I'd like to ask for advice: how the above could happen, and how to solve and prevent it? Thanks a lot for any insight!

There is no IP, email nor username bann?

What is your forum url and the username that is getting a banned message?

Yes, the symptoms look quite similar.

No, I (as admin) never ever banned a user on our forum.

Forum is http://farmotor.forumstopic.com/ and the affected username is Grizzlyng

The issue has been reported. Now we'll just need to wait for an answer.

I don't really know, that's why it's reported, If you got hacked what happened to the other admin in the topic I showed you...

I did not realize from the text in the other thread that the bug/hack question was decided in that case. Anyway, thanks again, and waiting for the results of analysis.

it means probablly that your Forum antispam systhem identified abnormal behavior on this account and disabled it! However, this does not ban the member but ask him to confirm his Identitie before entering the forum.

can you give me a screenshot of the exact error message received?

The forum language is Hungarian, the text means "Information. You have been banned from the Forum. For further info contact the webmaster or administrator."

There is no any prompt for confirming identity. Any hint? Thx!
