Limit chat to some members?

Is there a way I can make it so I have to approve members before they can view the chatbox? Someone is getting information from the chatbox on my site, and as far as I know, their not even a member.
Who all can see the chat box?

You can ban members from using the chatbox, if that's what you mean.

Just use /ban

followed by the person's username.

EXAMPLE: /ban tennisdude

Like that.

I'm in shock right now because of something that happened on the site, I guess I'm just not thinking properly
So you're sure that guests can't see the chat?

Guests shouldn't be able to view the chatbox.

I'm getting all this hate mail on another site because of something I said on the chatbox.
Nobody was on other then members I completely trust, one other member was on, I banned her xP

Yes. That's probably it. but I'm getting PMs from people who were nothing to do with the conversation, I guess someones just spreading rumors about me.
