Solved Members can't post

Post by Catgirl6230 April 5th 2012, 1:45 am

My friend was having trouble posting on my forum, like on her computer the button to post wasn't even there so I went to General>Categories>forum permission controls then I went to the section she was trying to post in and looked at the permission controls and in the area that said write topics or messages was blank. So I set it to members can post and saved. But my friend still couldn't post. So I went back and looked at the all the different tabs on my forum for permission controls and they are all blank for writing topics and messages including the one that I just changed and saved. What should I do? I mean there really is no point to my forum if no one can post but me. beu

This is my forum, small yes. I just started

So she can not see the New Post button to post a reply or start a topic? Ask her to try a different browser.

Hello,

Try instructing him to clear his cache:
https://help.forumotion.com/t22597-how-to-clear-the-cache-in-firefox-internet-explore-chrome

Is it just maybe that his browser doesn't load the images of the forum fully.

Also, check the permissions( for simple mode):
Permissions > Make sure that the box for 'Write and reply' is checked members

For the advanced mode:
Permissions > Make sure that the 'reply to a message' and 'open a topic' is check for members
