Administrator and member-Lost access to my forum

I was adding a widget with music and now I can't access forum to login. Not sure why. I see just part of the forum. No topics or admin panel anymore.

I am both an administrator and a member.

No I am also the founder but my problem is that if you follow that link I have lost access to login. The login option is gone. It happened right after I added a widget to the forum. All the topics vanished. Now there is no way for me to login to access my forum or the admin panel.

Hello,

You can still access your admin panel through the utilities:
https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/

And remove the widget you recently added that might be causing the problem.

But if you don't have access or you have lost your password, you'll need to see this topic:

Thanks but that requires me to access as a founder. I am trying to access as a forum administrator. I forget my founder password and will have to follow the steps to get it again but in the meantime I was simply trying to access as a forum admin not as a founder. I use admin to access as a founder and Dreamy as an admin.

Since you can't see the admin panel as you stated above, the only way to get through the admin panel is through the utilities which requires founder account information/password. Since you have lost your founder password, you will need to request for a new one by the link I provided above. Wink

Thank you Jophy, I received the email with the new password but now I get this message when I go here to login as the founder:

I did not make 20 attempts. ???

I'm not exactly sure why this message appears, do you have others that have access to your founder account? When is the last time you logged in with your founder account?

In this case you will have to wait for 6 hours to log in.

Yes I do. Just tried and I am getting the same message.

ETA: I just tried on a new computer to access board as a member as I was still logged in at this computer and did access admin panel. I did remove and delete problematic widget.

I am not sure however if I can access board as founder using new password.

ETA: Just tried and accessed computer using regular login and admin and new password. I will change password now.

I am curious could others, not board members, have tried to access my board trying to use admin and bad PWs and caused the problem? Couldn't that happen with any board? A person or persons trying to be troublesome perhap? All one needs to do is go to login or the founder panel to do such. Seems like a potential flaw in the system maybe.

Hello again!

There was an update sometime in the past about the systems flaw, and whoever tries to log in with the founder account or any other accounts using wrong passwords or just trying to hack the forum will be blocked on his IP address, not the real founder who uses the founder account. I guess this was just a temporary problem on our utilities page(as we received several complaints about this) which I forwarded to our pro admin and she's currently looking into it.

Hello Jophy, can you help me please. I too have lost my Admin password. Been trying to connect for 3 hours and now totally lost. I found forum utilities but can get no further. I'm no expert so please be kind to me.
