Solved One moderator cannot view IP's or ban members

Post by Neymar1 June 16th 2012, 12:42 pm

Hey, I have a slight problem on my forum and was just wondering if anyone can help. I've added a new moderator recently by going through the same procedure as usual (adding them to the moderators group and changing the rank). He can edit posts, visit staff sections etc. but cannot ban members or view IP addresses. Anyone know why this is, or what I can do?

Yes. All other moderators can check IP and ban, and they are in the exact same group/rank etc. only 1 cannot do this.

Did you add the member in the administration panel or the moderator group page?

Hi, Hello

Sometimes is the Moderators. You should explain them, how it works. Were to go and etc. Because, if all of the moderators can ban etc. And he can't then that means he doesn't know how to.

Admin panel. And to answer the other question, he does know how to as I explain everything to mods, I wouldn't just make them mod and leave them. When trying to a view an IP address he gets an error saying he doesn't have permission, the say when trying to ban. He can view the question mark button for viewing the IP and the button for banning, but it doesn't let him actually do it.

Try removing him and then re-adding him again. Then, resynchronise your forum at:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Configuration (on the left, under Forum)
4. Check the 'Resynchronize your forum' box

I've given it a try, I'll let you know how it goes.
