Copy-paste HTML codes
I saw this happening on some forums. Is that possible to this function on forumotion as well?
For example, if i copy a blue sentence, it will appear [color=blue.]sentence[./.color] automatically on my reply box.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Copy-paste HTML codes
It would if you were copying the information while in the edit mode. When you copy text that is colored, it will not paste the color code unless you are copying the code while in the edit mode.
I believe you mean BBCode not HTML code.

No, not the edit more.
I mean on forums and pages with colored sentences that I can't edit.

Re: Copy-paste HTML codes
This is a big thing, and a very tricky subject, and there's a lot involved in it. You can follow this tutorial: http://www.malware-site.www/t26-ckeditor-on-a-forumotion-forum in order to install CKEditor on your forum. It's a big name Rich Text Editor, which I believe undertakes the task of rich text copy-pasting.
However even CKEditor and other big names struggle with the task, and its still a largely un-perfected feature throughout the web.
Alternatively, you could try writing your own clipboard data to html parser.

This? "Alternatively, you could try writing your own clipboard data to html parser."
Learn a good amount of Javascript, a few hacks, possibly flash hacks too in order to access the clipboard data successfully, and parse the copied data into Forumotion-supporting BBcode.
Accessing the clipboard itself is a large task with Javascript, and often requires hacks and workarounds to do.
Then the amount of variation in formatting can vary from all sorts of software and markup out there, so you'd have to identify it and replace as needed.
I hope your beginning to realize why there aren't that many editors out there that include this, and those that do, are far from perfect.
