Tor Blocking On/Off Feature

Post by ShowStopper on November 21st 2012, 6:15 am

I am requesting the option for admins to be able to toggle the Tor blocking feature that is implemented automatically on and off.

There are a lot of people who have to use Tor to be able to access the Internet and certain websites, and I think they should be able to have access to a forum if the admins of that forum approve of the Tor usage.

Why would someone need to use Tor? People like the military, activists, journalists, ITs, bloggers, and law enforcement use Tor for many reasons. A list of good reasons that people use Tor is here:

I for one encourage the people on my forum to use Tor for safety and privacy, and would like them to be able to use it and have access to my forum. I do understand that some people wouldn't want that for their forum, and they have their reasons. But, I think it would be a good idea to give the admins of their respective forums the choice to use the blocking feature, or to not use it, instead of for everyone to be forced to. There are a lot of legitimate reasons for people to use Tor, and I don't think all forums should be forced to block those users.
