Portal widget to general forum help

Hey guys i have created a portal and would like a button or widget that takes you straight into a certain forum. Do any of you know how i can achieve this?
I know this would be achievable through the widget source/HTML code but i have no idea how to do that

Place this in a widget:

Any type of widget or button will do as long as it takes me into a forum and not just to the forum category's. I also would like to name the button if possible

The code slg posted shall work. It will show a link.

Do you want a picture instead of the text for the link?

Thanks SLG. I am a little confused by the brackets and where to put the url ?

I want a button type that could say for example 'ENTER HERE' or an image containing 'ENTER HERE' That takes you to a specific forum.

I can create a button image i want to use just don't know how to make it work and take you to the forum

Thanks guys all the info was helpful although i have been playing around that much i have now lost all my navbar buttons apart from the portal icon but i'm sure i will sort this
