Announcement for catagories

Just suggesting whether we can have announcements for catagories

You need to be clarify your suggestion more.

When you posting a topic, there will be a choice of category announcement, announcement, sticky and so on. When you chose category announcement and it is posted, the forum's category (that you have posted in) will have the announcement but when you on other category's forum, you will not find it .

I voted No, i feel its not required. We can just copy paste the announcement stuff.

I believe this is already in our forums:

1. global announcements - all forums.

2. announcements - just the forum it was posted in.

2. stickies - same as announcements.

Okay I'll use the support forum as an example.

So basically say we wanted an announcement posted in the "other services" section and only in that section then you could create one announcement and it would appear in all forums on that section without having to copy and paste it in each individual forum for that section.

I don't think it would be a very useful section. I don't often see myself just needing to post an announcement for one section and if I did then I'd just copy and paste the announcement into the other categories or use a global announcement to make everyone aware of changes. So I think I am going to vote no to this suggestion.
