In progress Password Insecure

Post by Pain March 28th 2013, 5:16 am

I have a member that can't register because he's getting a message that says his password is insecure after using regular type, caps, and numbers. Is there any way I can alter the parameters for the passwords required for my forum?

What exactly did the message say? When you enter a password, there is only three options that will appear: weak, normal, or strong.

Hi,

There is no possible way to alter the requirements of a password.

The password must be a minimal of 6 characters, the system will disallow '123567' but will allow 'Nokia1' for examples.

he had a password of 8 characters, should have been enough, i guess he eventually got it to work, took 20-something tries to do it though

If your having problems with the password being to weak, you can tell you member to choose a username and password to whatever they want and the admin can go in and override this by creating a new user. I have to do this with some people who were having issues with the password being weak.
