Solved Little problem with .tk domain

Post by HIH13 May 20th 2013, 9:58 am

Hi there everyone. I made myself a domain with .tk, transfer it and all is ok, but the only problem is that when I click on some subforum, the link is still myname.tk, instead of myname.tk/forum2 for example. Any ideas? Even in the admin panel, it is still myname.tk Hello

I'm not sure. However I wouldn't recommend using .tk as a domain as it is very untrusted and can easily be a security risk to your forum.

If you scroll down and see "The GodFather" post you'll see him say that they are not real domain names.

for info, never ever use .TK or all other free "domain names" with your forums!!

they're are not real domains, they are just a virtual dns that will destroy all your forum SEO despite of all the technical problem that they can cause to the forum like user registration problem, account validation problem...etc

Thanks for the fast answer. So, best option is to buy a domain by using forumotion credits, at least this way there will be no problems.
Just 1 question more, Im not gonna lose anything on my forum, when buying forumotion domain? Right? Because i remember in the past I was reading some user problem with this.
